頭打ち
⇒一定の水準に達し、それ以上に伸びなくなる reach a plateau

頭が上がらない
⇒引け目を感じて対等な関係に立てない can't compete with (かなわない)

頭越しに
over someone's head

頭ごなしに叱る
⇒相手の言い分を聞かずに叱る scold someone without giving him [her] a chance to explain
scold はもっぱら子供をしかるときに使います。部下を叱るようなときは tell off / talk to などを用います。

⇒心配な事や悩み事などがあって、思案に暮れる tear one's hear out (髪をかきむしる)
